A Contact List allows the user to easily send emails to a group of users.  To create a contact list, log into the Shady Side Academy webmail on any browser at mail.shadysideacademy.org.  Log in with your full email address and password.

Once logged in, click on the sidebar "People" icon.

Click on the New Contact drop-down menu and choose New Contact List.

Give the Contact List a name.  In the Add email addresses box, start adding names to your list.

Add names by starting to type the first name, last name, or email address of the contact and choosing the correct person from the list.  If the individual doesn't auto-populate, type the full email address.

Once finished adding all of the members of the contact list, click the Create button

To send an email to a group, go to mail and select New Message. Begin typing the name of the Contact List in the "To" box and choose the correct group when it appears in the drop-down.

If the group name doesn't auto-populate, go to the people tab on the left, tap "Your Contact Lists", tap the group name, then tap "Send email".

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR MAC USERS ONLY:

Contact lists cannot be accessed on the Outlook desktop version or in Mac's native Mail app.  Contact lists created in the desktop Outlook on the Mac are stored locally and cannot be accessed on other devices.  Mac users should utilize the web version of Outlook for creating and using contact lists.
